Summary of Terms

IP Address - A series of numbers used to identify your computer, in order to access content on the internet (eg 255.0.0.1).           We may ask you for personal information in order to make available specific services you wish to take part in such as  financial services or newsletters. In each case we will use the information to provide you with the specified services. Where we wish to collect information for the purposes of marketing we will make this clear before any information is collected.

          We will also retain information regarding regulated services in order to comply with the requirements of the Financial Services Authority and may transmit data to our auditors and regulators for the purposes of compliance with the requirements of the Financial Services Authority. Request For Quotes

          All information you provide will remain confidential to Fineants Ltd and its Product Providers and professional advisers. Disclosure of some or all of your details to specific third parties is an essential part of the way we provide our services to you and generate requests for quotes (RFQ's) as your specific information allows our product providers to provide you with quotes. Please be aware, however, that there is no obligation for you to provide the requested information and you can decline to provide any information. However, you may not be able to obtain RFQ's if you do not.

          The details provided by you will be shared with product providers and lenders. It will be used to:

             ·   assess your application;

             ·   contact you by letter, phone fax or e-mail about your application;

          Further information regarding data protection for each product provider will be provided by them. Depending on the type of service you require you will find Data Protection Statements by the product providers either shown online or in writing with any documentation that they may send you. They will also provide you with details of their marketing policy.

Credit Searches

          Further information about how your details may be used will be sent to you with any product documentation either in writing or online (depending on the service you use) and is available on request.      

          Product providers and lenders may search the Electoral Register, Credit Reference Agencies, and other credit information at your present and any other previous addresses;

              ·  details of searches made may be seen by other organisations consulting the credit reference agency in the future;

              ·  some of the lenders may use credit scoring methods to assess your application;

              ·  information held about you (and your joint applicant) by the credit reference agencies may be linked to records relating to other persons like your spouse or partner thus you may be considered to be linked financially and they may consider any associated record.

          If the application is in joint names, you confirm that your co-applicant is aware that information is being given to us.

Access to your information

          You may at any time request us to make available to you a copy of the information we hold on you.

We Do Not Sell or Pass on your information to any marketing companies.

          We will not send marketing material indiscriminately and, in particular, we will be selective and careful if you are under eighteen years old and where material relates to loans. We will ensure that all our advertising and promotional material is clear, fair, reasonable and not misleading.
